Journey of Strength
I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. - (Philippians 4:13)
So often, we witness the before and after pictures of successful weight loss transformations. Behind those images lies a complex story, one that extends far beyond diets and exercise routines. For me, it meant confronting the internal battles that were manifesting themselves on the outside. For many years, I made shedding pounds my sole focus. I opened up about my experiences, bared my vulnerabilities on social media, and amassed a following of thousands who found inspiration in my journey. Yet, each morning as I awoke, I felt trapped inside a body I referred to as a coffin. Mentally, physically, spiritually, and emotionally, I was suffocating.

I couldn't comprehend why my fight was so arduous. No matter how hard I pushed, no matter how diligently I adhered to a clean diet, I always reached a plateau at 400 pounds, sinking into despair and regaining the weight I had fought so hard to shed. I found myself caught in a vicious cycle for eight long years. But then, amidst the darkness, God whispered to me that my purpose and destiny were intertwined with my weight loss journey. I held onto His word, believing that there was a greater plan in store for me. Little did I realize that for me to step into my destiny, I needed to surrender to God's preparation. I had to allow Him to dismantle the walls that held me captive. Addictions, generational curses, and depression were among the hidden demons that had insidiously manifested themselves in the form of excess weight.
"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come."
